My daughter has been Candis's student for the past 3 months. We have been impressed with the progress our daughter has made both in terms of understanding musical concepts, learning new pieces, and improving her technique. In addition, Candis thoroughly plans out manageable practice schedules, which has immensely helped my daughter practice regularly and independently.

Candis is an incredible music teacher. She focuses on each student, assesses what their needs are and throughout her instruction empowers scholars to become independent musicians themselves. Candis is organized, responsible and an exemplar teammate. I've worked with Candis this past year and highly recommend her for an music instruction position. I trust her completely.

I came to violin late in life having always wanted to play. I had no illusions of grandeur and wanted to just do it for fun. Candis pushed me but not so hard that it took the fun out of it. In fact, she worked to put fun into it ensuring a great experience for me! I appreciate that she is flexible and willing to modify her approach and style to meet the need/desire of her student. She also provided instruction to my young daughter allowing me to see how differently she approached a youngster. I highly recommend Candis for any kind of instruction.
